Reduce congestion and pain with a nourishing and moisturizing mud-wrap treatment.
A body masque is a full body treatment where the application of mud, seaweed, herbs, fruit or other natural ingredients are left on the skin for an extended period of time to cleanse, dry, moisturize, exfoliate, or soothe. Clays used in body masques and poultices are hypertonic, causing fluid in body tissue to move to the skin surface by the process of osmosis, thereby reducing toxins, congestion and pain.
Treat yourself to a purifying body masque and learn how to provide the treatment in a therapeutic bodywork studio or day spa. We will create a mud-wrap mixture from all natural ingredients; discussing and experiencing the various properties and indications of clays, herbs, and other ingredients useful for therapeutic body-masques. There will be a demonstration, and everyone will have the opportunity to give and receive a treatment.

Therapeutic Touch with Aromatherapy
Therapeutic Touch is a contemporary healing modality drawn from ancient practices and developed by Dora Kunz and Dolores Krieger. The practice is based on the assumptions that human beings are complex fields of energy, and that the ability to enhance healing in another is a natural potential. Adding aromatherapy to your palpation of the energetic field adds the potency of the essential oil to the field-the vibrational frequencies of the oils add their properties and dramatically change the quality and frequency of the field as you are working with it-choosing the right oil to address the issue will increase the potency of the work with the issue at hand.
Therapeutic Touch (TT) is used to balance and promote the flow of human energy. It is taught in colleges around the world and has a substantial base of formal and clinical research. This research has shown that TT is useful in reducing pain, improving wound healing, aiding relaxation, and easing the dying process. It can be learned by anyone with a sincere interest and motivation towards helping others.
